About Papeez
Simplifying paper-based assessment to give time back to teachers
Our story
We created Papeez because grading paper MCQs had become a real headache when we were teaching: As teachers ourselves in France (ESSEC, CentraleSupélec, EFAP...), we experienced this reality from the inside. Hours spent grading manually, inevitable errors, precious time lost away from our students. We built the tool we wish we'd had: simple, fast, reliable. Papeez is our answer.
Our convictions
Time freed
Every hour spent grading MCQs is one less hour for teaching, mentoring and innovating. Papeez automates grading so you can focus on what matters.
Assessment serving pedagogy
Assessment is not an end in itself. It is a lever for understanding, progressing and certifying. Papeez turns grading into actionable data.
Simple by design
No training required. Print, scan, done. Papeez adapts to your habits, not the other way around.
Papeez is built by the team behind Evalmee, the online assessment platform for higher education.
Frequently asked questions
Papeez is published by FD EDU SAS, a company registered on 21 May 2020 in Gif-sur-Yvette, France (SIREN 884027079). The team is made of former teachers, with time at ESSEC, CentraleSupélec and EFAP, who also build Evalmee, the online assessment platform.
Because grading paper MCQs by hand took hours and produced errors, something the founders lived through as teachers. Papeez is the tool they wished they had: print, scan, graded, with no training and no special machine.
The same team builds both products. Papeez grades multiple-choice exams on paper; Evalmee is the online assessment platform for higher education. The two are complementary: paper on one side, digital on the other.
Teachers and trainers at CentraleSupélec, Université Paris-Saclay, EFAP, Efrei, Académie de Créteil and ÉSEC, among the institutions shown on the site. The About page states more than 30 customer institutions and more than 150,000 answer sheets graded.
In France. The company is based in Gif-sur-Yvette (91190) and exam data is hosted on Scaleway and AWS in the eu-west-3 region (Paris), with no transfer outside the European Union. Details are on the Security & GDPR page.

No. Papeez is limited to paper MCQs. For online assessments, open-ended questions or remotely proctored exams, the same team offers Evalmee: evalmee.com.
